Tues., July 30th, 2019–(2:30pm – 4:30pm).  Richmond Hill Friendship Day celebration at La Rocca’s Creative Kitchen.  1285 Elgin Mills Rd. E., unit #5.  Friends of all ages can decorate cookies, enjoy exquisite desserts, participate in arts & crafts, face painting and meet children’s authors/illustrators Daniela Bevacqua and Josephine Vaccaro-Chang.

Those attending the event are encouraged to donate gently used children’s books.  Sunwing Airlines has generously offered to deliver the books to the children of BluesBoy Foundation, a United Nations accredited charity based in Jamaica.

Sat., Aug. 18th, 2018–(11:30am to 1:30pm) Author/illustrator Josephine Vaccaro-Chang will be reading her books, We Are Colourful Friends and Our Colourful Cookies at Indigo Richmond Hill.  Children between 4 – 8 years old will enjoy doing related crafts.

Wed., July 18th, 2018–(5:30pm to 8:30pm) Author Tamara Hecht and  Author/Illustrator Josephine Vaccaro-Chang will be sharing their books with visitors at the Dufferin/Clark Public Library (1441 Clark Ave. W. in Thornhill).  Hope to see you there. Clark Vaughan Vaughan Public Libraries Vaughan Writers’ Club Canscaip

Tues., May 15th, 2018–Congratulations to the grade 2, 3 and 4 authors and illustrators at Prince of Peace Catholic Elementary School (YCDSB) who will be sharing their e-books with the kindergarten students.  Thank you to the Ontario Arts Council for your support!

Thurs., Apr. 26th, 2018–Participating in York Catholic Principal’s/Vice Principal’s Conference at Nottawasaga Inn in Alliston, ON.


Tues., Apr. 10th – Tues., May 15th, 2018–Six session series on creating an e-book at Prince of Peace Catholic Elementary School in Keswick, ON.  Thank you to the Ontario Arts Council for funding this exciting workshop series!


Sat., Jan. 27th, 2018–Celebrate Family Literacy Day with Brock the Croc and Author/Illustrator Josephine Vaccaro-Chang at The Richmond Hill Central Library located on the south/west corner of  Yonge St. and Major Mackenzie Rd. W.  We’ll be in the Children’s Department from 11:15am to 12:15pm.

Mon., Dec. 4th, 2017–Congratulations to the following York Region schools that won an author visit for one class sponsored by The Richvale Lions Club:  Nobleton P.S., H.G. Bernard P.S., St. John XXIII CES and St. Cecilia CES.
